Terms of Service
Last updated: April 28, 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Rathee Law Firm P.C., a New York professional corporation ("we," "us," "Rathee Law Firm, or "ViRein"), located at 501 Fifth Avenue, Suite 1408, New York, NY 10017. The Terms govern your use of the ViRein mobile application and the websites at virein.app and getvirein.com (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept, please do not use the Service.
2. What ViRein is, and what it is not
ViRein provides general immigration information and tools, including USCIS case-status lookups, the Visa Bulletin, processing-time estimates, deadline calculators, and similar utilities. ViRein is an informational tool, not legal advice. Using ViRein does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only after a written engagement letter is signed with Rathee Law Firm P.C. or another attorney of your choice.
Some content within the Service is attorney advertising under New York Rules of Professional Conduct 7.1 and 7.4. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit information through the Service. The Service is intended for adults navigating immigration matters. Do not submit information about another person without that person's consent.
4. Your account
Most ViRein tools are usable without an account. If you create an account or are invited to our client portal at app.ratheelawfirm.com, you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Notify us immediately at privacy@ratheelawfirm.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit USCIS receipt numbers, A-numbers, or other personal identifiers belonging to another person without authorization.
- Attempt to scrape, automate, reverse-engineer, or place undue load on the Service or on the underlying USCIS API.
- Use the Service to provide commercial case-status lookups, white-label the Service, or resell access to the underlying USCIS API.
- Bypass authentication, rate limits, security measures, or attribution.
- Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful information.
- Use the Service to violate the law, including U.S. immigration law, export controls, or sanctions, or in a way that infringes another person's rights.
6. USCIS data and government sources
ViRein displays information drawn from public government sources, including the USCIS Case Status API, the Department of State Visa Bulletin, and USCIS processing-time tables. Government data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We pass through whatever the government source returns. We do not modify case-status responses and we do not store your receipt numbers in association with your identity. ViRein is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by USCIS or any U.S. government agency.
Always confirm critical decisions against the official USCIS website and consult a licensed immigration attorney before acting on information you see in ViRein.
7. Privacy
Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using the Service you also accept the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, copy, brand, and the name "ViRein," is owned by Rathee Law Firm P.C. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own immigration matters. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
Government works (such as USCIS forms and Visa Bulletin tables) are generally in the public domain and remain so when displayed in ViRein.
9. Third-party services
ViRein integrates with services provided by third parties, including USCIS, Apple, Google, Vercel, Cal.com, and our case-management system. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the conduct, content, or availability of third-party services.
10. Fees
ViRein is free to use. We do not charge for case-status lookups, the Visa Bulletin, processing-time estimates, or other in-app tools. Consultations with Rathee Law Firm P.C. attorneys are separate and governed by a written engagement letter. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future, with at least 30 days' notice and active, affirmative consent before any charge.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that case-status information, deadlines, processing times, or any other content will be accurate, current, or suitable for your situation. Always verify important information against official government sources and a licensed attorney.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rathee Law Firm P.C. and its principals, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rathee Law Firm P.C. from any claim, demand, or loss (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your submission of information about another person without authorization.
14. Governing law and forum
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration agreement below, the exclusive forum for any dispute is the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
15. Dispute resolution
We prefer to resolve disputes informally. Please email legal@ratheelawfirm.com before filing a claim, and we will work in good faith to address your concern. If informal resolution fails, any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in New York, New York. You waive any right to participate in a class action or class arbitration. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing the address above within 30 days of first accepting these Terms; opting out does not affect any other provision.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in court for the alleged unlawful use of intellectual property, or from pursuing small-claims actions for qualifying disputes.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account and personal information following the steps in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Service and its users. We will give you advance notice where practicable.
17. Changes to these Terms
For non-material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will post a plain-language summary at the top of this page, notify account holders by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and ask you to actively, affirmatively accept the new Terms on next sign-in. We do not treat continued use as acceptance of material changes. If you do not accept, you may stop using the Service and request deletion of your data.
18. Successor companies
If Rathee Law Firm P.C. or ViRein is merged, acquired, reorganized, or sold, these Terms (and your rights under them) will continue to apply to the successor entity, or the successor will provide notice and obtain your active, affirmative consent before applying materially different terms. See also Section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
19. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a successor transaction described in Section 18. The Service is offered for use only in jurisdictions where it is lawful to do so.
